Gala LocoFolies 2023

On Thursday, November 16, 2023, we rolled out the turquoise carpet to celebrate volunteer enthusiasm: the real engine behind this collective adventure that is LocoMotion.

A historic announcement for LocoMotion

The very first Gala LocoFolies was the stage for a major announcement. The Solon organization, which has supported LocoMotion since the project had its training wheels, handed over the steering wheel for it to become an independent organization!

2023, a memorable year for local committees

January: Selection of neighborhoods for the cohort: there are 6!
February: Launch of the LocoCohorte with 50 members on site.
March-April: LocoMobile trailer building sessions at L’ESPACEMAKER and Bâtiment 7. And the Dodue chicken takes a trailer ride!
May: Exclusive workshops for the Ville-Marie committee, car-sharing rates revised.
June: Inter-neighborhood LocoTrain at the Tour de l’Île.
August: Update to locomotion.app and adjustments based on community feedback.
September: Notable presence of LocoMotion Verdun on a panel and $50,000 in funding secured for the Plateau.
October: LocoMotion Sud-Ouest featured on CBC on the bike revolution.
November: Very first Gala LocoFolies.
December: Winter break to prepare for new achievements.
