LocoMotion Ahuntsic

It all started in 2020

Born from discussions between Solon and the citizen group Mobilisation Environnement Ahuntsic-Cartierville (MÉAC), LocoMotion Ahuntsic came to fruition and saw its first sharing in summer 2020!

It was car sharing between neighbors that first attracted Ahuntsic residents. However, participants changed their minds during the pandemic. Bicycles and trailers are now prioritized, and the project truly took off in the summer of 2020.

Ahuntsic's collective fleet

LocoMotion members in Ahuntsic share bike trailers, electric bikes, and cargo bikes. Private car owners also make their cars available for sharing with the neighborhood for a financial compensation.

Let's meet

a committed community

LocoMotion Ahuntsic members continue to run their local project because it allows them to reduce their car trips, increase their bike trips, build connections with the neighborhood, and transport their children differently!

Prizes and awards

At the Gala LocoFolies 2023, LocoMotion Ahuntsic won the LocoTrain award for using LocoMotion bikes and trailers to support the push for safer bike lanes.

Join a super fun volunteer committee

LocoMotion runs on neighborhood volunteers!

The Ahuncycle organization handles bikes and trailers, but it takes a committee to give the project some love.
