Born from discussions between Solon and the citizen group Mobilisation Environnement Ahuntsic-Cartierville (MÉAC), LocoMotion Ahuntsic came to fruition and saw its first sharing in summer 2020!
It was car sharing between neighbors that first attracted Ahuntsic residents. However, participants changed their minds during the pandemic. Bicycles and trailers are now prioritized, and the project truly took off in the summer of 2020.
LocoMotion members in Ahuntsic share bike trailers, electric bikes, and cargo bikes. Private car owners also make their cars available for sharing with the neighborhood for a financial compensation.
