Do you live in Eastman, Austin, Saint-Étienne-de-Bolton, Stukely-Sud, or Bolton-Est?
In the Eastman region, we’re choosing mobility that reflects who we are: active, shared, and rooted in our community. We’re giving ourselves more options to get around. This is a project by us, with us, so everyone can travel differently… and together.
Our fleet is made up of electric hybrid bikes from the Québec brand Wolff. They feature wide tires that are suitable for gravel roads and stone dust trails. The bikes fit riders approximately 5’3″ to 6’2″. Both the handlebars and saddle are adjustable.
Bikes are available on a pay-what-you-can basis. Your voluntary contribution helps cover maintenance costs.
Once you’ve been approved as a Community Member, you can submit a borrowing request. A Vehicle Caretaker will schedule a meeting with you to explain how the bike and its accessories work. This process may take a few days.
After you’ve successfully completed your first borrowing, future requests will be approved automatically whenever the bike is available.
The minimum borrowing period is 1 hour and the maximum is 48 hours.
At this time, there is no limit on the number of bookings per person, as long as everyone uses the service responsibly.
Each bike comes with:
– two 20 L panniers
– a lock
– a battery charger A helmet is required while riding, but is not provided. Helmet not included.
You are responsible for returning the bike to its borrowing location.
If you’re a CAA member, you may be eligible for bicycle roadside assistance. Whenever possible, the Vehicle Caretaker will also do their best to assist you.

Each LocoMotion Community is entirely run by local volunteers who either share their own vehicle or act as Vehicle Caretakers.

Yes.
People staying in one of our municipalities for 30 days or more may be eligible to join the Community.
You’ll need to provide:
proof of your permanent address (anywhere);
proof of your local stay (for example, a cottage rental or campground invoice).
No. We need to maintain a fixed service area for the Community.
That said, nothing is stopping you from starting a LocoMotion Community in your own municipality!
