LocoMotion Mont-Saint-Hilaire

Participate in the first community car sharing projects in La Vallée-du-Richelieu

Less traffic. Less noise. Cleaner air. Neighbors who help each other. This is what LocoMotion, the network for Sharing vehicles with your neighborhood, makes possible.

The Cities of Mont-Saint-Hilaire and Beloeil, with the support of the Défis Innovation Québec program, wish to implement it here, with you.

As a first step, we need to know if you are interested in car sharing. Your ideas and participation are essential to the success of this project!

A new sustainable mobility option

Would you like to get rid of your 2nd car? Does your vehicle remain parked in your yard most of the time?

LocoMotion and your City offer you a concrete solution, adapted to your real needs: community car sharing with cars already present in your neighborhood.

  • Improve your environment’s quality. Fewer cars in circulation means better air quality, less noise, and a more pleasant living environment.
  • Contribute to community life. Sharing a vehicle is also an opportunity to meet and help each other.
  • Reduce your mobility expenses. In 2024, owning a car in Quebec cost an average of $15,720 per year (source: CAA). With car sharing, save these costs while having access to a vehicle when you truly need it.
“To adapt to climate change, our community faces a major challenge: to use active and sustainable transportation modes more often. With the creation of a car sharing network, we will add a new simple, efficient, and unifying mobility option for all Hilairemontais.”

- Marc-André Guertin, Mayor of Mont-Saint-Hilaire
