In Montreal’s South-West, LocoMotion brings together people who want to share vehicles and develop active and shared transportation options in their community.
LocoMotion South-West is a collective project led by members and a local volunteer Committee.
You can lend a vehicle, borrow one, or help keep the project running.
LocoMotion South-West was born from the desire to rethink mobility with the community and create more shared transportation options.
In 2023, the South-West hosted four LocoMotion Committees at Bâtiment 7 for a very special opening: an exhibition of wheeled artworks made by people involved in the projects.
A way to project ourselves into Montreal of 2030 and celebrate what we can create together.
The same year, the South-West received the LocoSolidaire award at the LocoFolies, given to the most willing community to help other LocoMotion projects.
The Committee had notably organized a trailer-making activity with the LocoMobile, involving three other communities at B.
LocoMotion South-West relies on the involvement of people who share vehicles. Thanks to the volunteers who dedicate their time to advance the project!
