Roselyn

Roselyn (she/her)

Project Manager

Cargo Bike Network

Roselyn is an expert in collective fleet management, specializing in the purchase, securing, and maintenance of shared bicycles. She began her journey at LocoMotion as a volunteer participant, bringing a wealth of experience and passion for active mobility.

With a bachelor’s degree in industrial design, Roselyn has developed a problem-solving approach centered on user needs and behaviors. For eight years, she worked in technical writing and translation in the field of digital dentistry, developing a valuable didactic approach for the platform’s evolution.

Since 2015, she has been passionate about electric cargo bikes, which she used to transport her two children. Deeply involved in her neighborhood, particularly through clothing repair at the Repair Café, Roselyn embodies the mantra “I participate.”

Indira

Indira (she/her)

Project and Mobilization Manager

Indira has a background in international development and conflict resolution. For nearly 10 years, she has been growing community projects here and abroad. Notably, she worked in mobilization at Sentier urbain.

Versatile, she enjoys transforming an idea into a concrete project: writing a grant application, surveying interest, organizing operations, and communicating results.

What drives her? Building connections, helping communities find their place, and pedaling towards sustainable solutions. She even assembled her own bike from recycled parts in a Winnipeg workshop!

At LocoMotion, she is involved in reducing pollution… but especially in doing so with the community.

Magalie

Magalie (she/her)

Communications

Magalie Paquet holds a diploma in advertising and creative communication. She began her career in video games and children’s illustration, then joined L’Itinéraire, where she developed an accessible writing style and made complex ideas understandable for diverse audiences. At Solon, she spent five years strengthening the organization’s public voice and building citizen empowerment. She has been promoting LocoMotion since its earliest days and now serves as Communications Lead at Réseau LocoMotion, an independent nonprofit. Her varied background spans brand strategy, participatory communications, and content creation.

Passionate about communication for causes, Magalie uses creativity to raise awareness and mobilize the public. Her empathy and sense of humor are valuable assets to the team.

Isabelle

Isabelle (she/her)

Development and Financial Management

Isabelle holds a degree in social and collective enterprise management from ESG. For over 10 years, she has worked in the community sector: coordination, facilitation, intervention… and even founding non-profit organizations!

She questions the status quo. Curious and rigorous, she loves to learn, especially when it optimizes her Google Sheets.

She always brings an environmental touch to her projects. For her, active mobility is as much a way of inhabiting one’s body as it is a societal choice. She “lives on the ground”: squats improve her health, help her avoid overconsumption, and bring everyone to the same level, children and adults alike.

Refusing the norm of solo car use is not just an opinion for her: it’s a deep motivation. That’s why she’s at LocoMotion.

David

David (he/him)

Web Development and Administration

David holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and a master’s degree in biomedical engineering, specializing in CT scan image reconstruction. After a few years in the private sector, he found his calling in small non-profit organizations. Since 2012, he has worked for QuébecOiseaux before joining Solon and then LocoMotion. An expert in web development, scientific programming, and mathematical modeling, David contributes solid technical skills to LocoMotion. He values self-management and communication within the team and is fully committed to the mission of creating a more just world.

Passionate about dance, nature, music, and relaxing moments like having a beer in a park or walking barefoot, David brings a balanced and human perspective to the team.

Jasmine

Jasmine (she/her)

Project Manager * on parental leave, returning January 2027 *

Trained in law at the University of Ottawa (LL.M.), with a background in social sciences and international cooperation, Jasmine enjoys structuring ambitious projects and growing them in collaboration with local communities.

Within the team, she stands out for her enthusiasm and initiative. She relies on rigor and active listening to spark ideas and co-construct collective projects.

When she’s not involved in her purchasing collective, she’s tending to her earthworms for her compost. Because compost, like collaboration, requires patience, care, balance… and sometimes holds funny surprises!

Her intention as a project manager: to create spaces where a retiree from Saint-Adrien or a teenager from Mégantic can discover the pleasure and gratification of getting involved.
