If the car is immobilized and no longer drivable.<\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. Contact Desjardins Insurance directly, specifying that you are renting the car through LocoMotion. The information is available in the logbook. <\/li>\n
  2. Notify the owner that a file has been opened with Desjardins Insurance.<\/li>\n
  3. Fill in the accident information on “Report an incident<\/a>“.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  4. LocoMotion forwards the necessary information to Desjardins Insurance.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    If the damage is minor and the car can still be driven, continue driving.<\/strong><\/p>\n

    1. Notify the owner<\/li>\n
    2. Fill in the accident information on “Report an incident<\/a>“<\/strong><\/li>\n
    3. The owner will contact Desjardins Insurance to open a file<\/li>\n

      Desjardins Insurance will recommend a body shop to perform the repairs (and provide a courtesy car to the owner, if needed).<\/p>\n

      For payment of repairs<\/strong>
      Desjardins Insurance settles the bill minus the deductible amount, which is the responsibility of the borrowing member (“renter” in the contract).<\/p>\n

      Contact the repair shop to settle the portion of the bill that is your responsibility (either the deductible, or the total repair amount if it is lower).<\/p>\n
